A frequent disorder after stroke is visuo-spatial neglect, resulting in a failure to report or respond to contralesional stimuli. Rehabilitation of neglect is important, given the negative influence on motor recovery, independence in self-care, transfers, and locomotion. The randomized controlled trial (RCT) PAiR investigated the short- and long-term effects of prism adaptation in 70 patients who were admitted to De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation. The study was funded by het Revalidatiefonds. Additionally, an NWO Veni grant partly funded this study. Here you can find the protocol and the final results of the study.
The Mobility Assessment Course is a visual search - multitask for visual neglect. We administered the task in a sample of people with and without neglect, you can find the article here. We wrote an instruction manual in Dutch (you can find the Excel template and a short version of the manual here).
